when i was 16 i had my wisdom teeth out, all 4 at the same time. 2 were impacted. (im sure some have heard this story before)
my dentist prescribed a week of percoset, a week of vicodin, and a week of 800mg ibuprofen.
i took it as prescribed, or even slightly less, and went into withdrawals, i think when i went from the percs to vicodin. hot cold fever chills, the shakes.... i am glad to have had the lesson. now i dont take them as prescribed, i normally take half of one, and only if my pain is really high. and i have to hoard them if i do get them prescribed, because i rarely need them but i hate needing one when my back goes out and not having them. and of course, you cant just go to the doctor and get them, you get labeled as a drug seeker.

i dont like not being in control of my body. but i could totally see chasing after the drugs to avoid the withdrawals, because they suck. and if it takes less than 2 weeks to get your body hooked, its no wonder so many are struggling.

 

never got withdraws from opiates. just dont do them enough. even when my dad died and a stockpile of 80mg OC and morphine syrup. when it was gone it was gone. while I still have opiates in my possession very little use. think Im at 30mg for the whole year. maybe 40.

 

I have a couple full bottles of like 150-180 tramadol kicking around. I take maybe 4-5 of them per month. I only take them when I'm in a ton of pain and weed doesn't cut it, or when I have to be sober (usually driving) and can't smoke.
