According to my family history my nth degree grandfather was a Jew living in Spain at the time of the Inquisition. He was found guilty of being Jewish and to save his own life he converted to Catholicism, after having to serve a year in prison and forfeiting his property. After his release he migrated to England where he found that Catholics were hated. So he was fucked all over again. He then boarded a vessel headed to Maryland in America and, presumably, lived happily ever after.
