Morning/Afternoon/Evening! I had about 16 pages of posts to read before I posted...yeah, I'm like that. smh I like to keep up.

With tremendous work by everybody, this old house feels like new...or at least ridiculously clean. Keeping it that way will be the trick. Mama is sitting here right now (on the sofa) playing with the newspaper. EVERYBODY at this short-term rehab place (that could have been long-term) love love LOVED her. God have mercy...where does she put all of that charm and ability to understand when she comes home???? lol

She DOES know I'm her daughter again...well, she has for about a month anyway. :)

I/we had a visit this morning...a nurse. She is just the 1st person that is part of a team that will be working with her (us). That's fine. She (we) will be dealing with a whole team of people and at least one of them will be working to help me find someone to sit with her once (or even twice! :astonished:) a week so I can go get groceries and such. Even though she isn't as sharp as she once was, she understands she isn't supposed to be left alone for a moment. Not even one. (Help us, God.)

She went with me yesterday early evening and sat in the car while I fed the cats. I'm having one neutered Thursday and am supposed to be there at 8am. That'll be fun. During this past month she basically forgot how to make her oatmeal...but that was okay because she remembered how to cut up and shave that dang stupid kiwi. We "made" the oatmeal (out of a packet) together...and it just took her about 15 minutes to get it Just Right before she could eat a bite. lol

So...everything is okay (even my sanity) for the time being...who knows what the morrow may bring? Right?

The lady this morning even felt led to tell me something she said she shouldn't, which just goes to show how hugely some people lie...she said the records (from the hospital that were sent with her to the facility) said she was bitten by 2 cats and that there were 42 (FORTY TWO) cats in the house. I laughed and said what lies! She said...yeah - even in a month a person couldn't cover up having 42 cats in a house. smdh

I can't help but wonder how many other people have had their lives affected by the lies of those ambulance people.

Well, maybe you can do something in terms of helping people. I have never had set work hours nor have I ever HAD to
work in a set inside office environment so I can fully understand not wanting to be inside all day. There are lots of
social oriented jobs where you can help people. I would not anticipate they pay on the upper scale of things but that's
    another issue entirely

I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me?

If somebody doesn't want to put in the effort or time into what they want to acheive, my belief is they didn't really want it to begin with. Like in your mind it's ideal, but if you don't want to work for it, did you really want it?

It's like me and guitar. I suck, but I've always wanted to play. But I don't, so do I really want to? No, because I don't want to spend my time learning it. Yes it would be awesome and I'm artistically minded and believe I can write awesome music, but at this stage in my life I'm not willing to put that effort in, so deep down I don't want it.

To enjoy working you have to either believe the job you're doing is worthwhile and important, OR just enjoy it because it's fun, pleasant, similar to what you'd do with your time anyway.

I also don't get much enjoyment from competing with my friends at anything. I've surpassed that part of my life and now I thrive off real competition whether I'm playing pool, target shooting, hurlin' fucken axes :D that's my thrill, getting better at it, knocking someone respectable off.

Recently a woman became the German national 8 ball champion for woman and I've beaten her my last 3 times. Now anybody can win a game of pool, but really start to know who's better when you play a race to 5 wins. I don't get to play her often but I'm 3-0 and so that gives me a confidence boost, why not me? If I can compete with them, soon I'm going to be able to beat them.

Maybe one day, it's a possibility that y'all might get to know me as a national champion or at least state champion. I'm already being selected for state teams. I've had trainers and instructors wanting to work with me. That tells me I got a lot to offer and they see things in me, but that alone ain't gone do shit. It's up to me to work for it. :)

I realistically know I'll never be a huge champion, it doesn't mean I won't work for it, but I know my dwindling eyesite will have its problems at the stage where I'm goof enough to be a champion. I've given myself until I'm 40 years old to learn pool, and I want to be as best as I can be at 40. I have 8 years left. But will my eyes last 8 years before my next surgery? Surgery can take over a year for my eyes to settle to even be able to use prescription lenses again. I'll be off the table for so long. :(

Like iracing too, I don't want to run around plebs winning races every week. There's no enjoyment in consistently winning unless you mastered it. Honestly me coming 6th in a race, if I'm battling and racing hard working for it, means more to me than a win.

They're my two competitive hobbies. Pool and iracing. And just like in pool when I best good people, when I finish higher or win out against a professional race car driver, I start to want it more.

I've learned competitiveness is a huge driving force for who I am. Even if I'm throwing rocks with my wife at a can or something, I'll want to hit that can more than her. It's just how it's gotta be.

I mean y'all lucky I'm a lesbian cause if I had to fight for your men, there might be trouble. :p

Time to make dinner. Every now and then, I try to pretend I’m an old-fashioned housewife. Tonight, stuffed green peppers :)

I love the name “snow faerie”

Dinner is in the oven, and I might have some wine, now. I don’t really drink during the weekdays but I’m feeling inspired. :relaxed:

I was saying I'm the same with pool as you with guitar playing :p
And comparing it to other competitive games im into that need practice and keep being played. Although im not really into Fifa for same reasons. I could spend a lot of time on it which I do not want. And spending only a little time on it is no fun because you're no good.
