Finally it is coming down hard today we are getting a good soak

 

We are supposed to get some rain tonight. It has been a while.

Taking the kids to the park today for an 'end of summer picnic' with the playgroup we go to.

They have this program called EarlyON (used to be the Early Years Centre) across Ontario that is basically just free playgroups and other activities for kids who aren't in school yet. The kids like going, but I also like to go so that I actually get to talk to an adult during the day. I'm usually the only guy there, too, which isn't horrible.

Price for quarter pounds is down to $250 and still can't get rid of them LOL

 

In a couple of months it will be even harder, with everyone's 4 plants finishing.

Yep will need time to adjust. I notice, it fixes one problem, creates another. will probably have to reinvent the way I hold the butt end.

I used to have problem where, my cue tip would not finish on the felt. Probably because it was weighted at the back. Well now my tip stays down, but I'm losing control at the rear end. Amazing how like an ounce here or there changes things.

I like challenges though.
I did manage to pull off a good straight back spin shot, so I know it can be done but I'm gonna leave it for now. Come back fresh.

 

The one in the ground is close to 9ft tall, and the ones in pots are doing well too. The potted ones seem further into flower than the other one, for some reason.

The weather is perfect this time of year. Mornings are cool, it gets hot and sunny in the afternoon but then cools off again overnight. I like being able to go outside without getting heat stroke.

 

I just can't get over how those cues look. In all of my years I've never shot pool with a flat stick on the end (like your's look). It must feel different than what I'm used to. Back in the day, I used to play a lot of pool. Really. I actually enjoyed it, and would put quarters on any female's table, even when they got all pissed that someone "new" was wanting to play. lol (I knew better than to go but in on dudes' tables...as I didn't want to fight (whatever female they were usually attached to, and men get surprisingly pissy when you start beating them, and I'd rather avoid that). I also usually beat them...not always (always is a big word!) but many many times. Now, I'd make certain I had a whole afternoon to practice before I shoot in front of or with anyone.
