I don't want to get a morbid...but RUN before it can call your name.

One of the best, most memorable books I've read was "I heard the owl call my name" by Margaret Craven. Its supposed to be one of those young adult/growing up books, I'm sure...but I read it as an adult, and fell in love with it, and the people in it.

It was sad...so do NOT let that owl call your name.

Lord have mercy...there is NOTHING that can be done when a person (Aunt Cousin Mama) is physically healthy and has what I am certain is dementia. She keeps saying TO ME she is waiting on Lynn to come home, and she should be here by now! Then she will look and look and look out the window. Its night, so she will hold the curtains open just enough to peer outside. MY CAR IS OUTSIDE.

Earlier today she asked me at least 5 times if I knew what the address here was...it was okay if I didn't know - when Lynn got here, SHE would know. I say over and over I'm Lynn! She will say - oh, that other Lynn.

The other one that isn't your daughter either???

    Lord have mercy.

What do you guys think about Replica tyres? I know a guy who runs his own auto place and he showed me a set of tires he has on his truck thay have done 70,000 and still fine. They were a Replica brand but he says he's been selling a lot of them, they just don't have the fancy white writing that other known brands have.. All terrain.

    It would be significant cheaper.

Mom had Alzheimer's and was in a nursing home the last couple years of her life, more for physical reasons than the dementia. Week nights after work I would go over to help her eat dinner, brush her teeth and make sure everything was the way she wanted it to be. Every time I visited I would take my dog Sunny (a chow shepherd mix who looked like a golden shepherd). Sunny was a big hit at the nursing home with residents and staff. I always said I should have named him Raymond because "everybody loved him" and he loved everyone.

The first time Mom did not remember me took me by surprise. I was getting ready to leave and Mom started getting agitated. I asked her what was wrong and she said that Sunny was "MyName's" dog and that he had to go home to "MyName". I promised her that I would make sure that I would take Sunny back to "MyName's" home. It calmed Mom down. After that she knew me sometimes and other times she just knew that I was someone who cared about her.

Dementia is difficult to deal with for sure. Did you ever tell her your address? I know the repetition is hard to deal with. Sometimes you can redirect the conversation...sometimes not. They say you should ask your Mom what she misses about Lynn type of questions. HUGS

This is cool. My telemetry versus a professional. I've gotten to only half a second off his speed
He's in blue, I am red. In terms of speed in the top bar, I'm pretty much tracking exactly, just my throttle and brake inputs need some work.

As you can see on the left its not an oval this week so im really putting the practice in as this result will be crucial to my playoff hopes.

Yeah... I'd stay clear of those tires. The tread pattern may "look" similar to the name brand, but it's not going to work like the real deal. The rubber compound is going to be off, so it;s not going to react properly. Cheaper chinese rubber has no UV protection so they will dry rot and start cracking long before normal. The fabric structure, cords and belts, are different materials and thinner so structural integrity and flex will be all wrong.

The reason they are that much less expensive is because they are cheap crap...
