Stoned Festivus For The Rest of Us

Just went out for a morning practice. I think since I started to learn how to use spin control, it's kind of untaught me how to hit a centre shot properly. Because you want to sort of push a spin ball along so that the friction of the felt can do its thing to the cue ball, but I've just noticed I'm pushing the cue ball along on a centre shot, rather than sliding.

So I recognised my fault and my next practice runs were pretty on point with accuracy.

 

What in the hell am I doing up at 4am? and posting here. good grief. This forum and these cats and my ramblings onlione are my life.

I'm scaring myself. lol

Thinking about "my" feral cats I feed, and how the big kitty should (3-4 mos old) be the one (the first) one they are worried about TNRing ...one of the girls in this "project" which has, until now been soley "my" project was posting tonight about helping and giving me some cat food; but I'm a weenie on the road and can't/won't go much outside of my specific county, and I hesitate to drive to parts of it. I've got a problem. I admit it.

But back to this - one of the girls is saying she is coming here Fri and meeting me there. It'll be interesting. I find it makes me real nervous and protective when people start showing all of this interest and attention to the cats because they want to "get" one. Really, if they are all fixed and get their shots, I say leave them be. Maybe only the youngest one could be taken and he live a happy life. The rest are like "fuck you....I will eat the food...I may come up close to you to eat it...but don't bother me."

The Russian Blue and the youngest are the only ones that've let me pet them. and he's ear-tipped lol

 

That Siamese isn't interested in anybody "getting" him and "getting him a home"...I can tell you.

Absolutely furious with myself for losing my first pool game. Had two shots and an easy run out and I done gone did snooker myself and fuck everything.

I had to walk away and have a vape. gotta calm down.

 

It's a really close game. I think it's about 6-6 atm. Having some stupid losses all around.

Funny though My pool cue maker was showing me different designs but he was drawing them up for me so on his drawings they looked like little bullets and then my wife said they look like bullets and someone started making vibrating noises and my wife said yeah totally I'm talking about a bullet vibe and then the whole team like 7 of us start making different vibrating noises and we burst out in hysterics and I say "okay.. You guys really know your vibrators"  and then we all laughed some more.

 

I had a friend once whose mom took care of a feral cat colony and for some reason she talked me into taking one of them. The cat was an adult, she should have known better and known it couldn't be tamed so I dunno what she was thinking lol.
He hid somewhere in my house and I never found him again. I guess he must have slipped out when someone opened the door but for all I know he's still hiding under my mom's bed lol

 

Got a win! Doing the thing I was re teaching myself. Big long shot on the 8 pretty darn straight. 8nwobbked but it fell in. felt good cause boy a fucked up twice in that big time.

I won my 3rd game so 2/3.
Team drew 12-12 so technically we kept our non losing streak alive but lost our winning streak. Still on top of table..

I didn't play well in patches today, most noticeably beginning and middle but happy to get my 2 wins as they were absolute clutch 8 Ball shots and not easy and I put it all on the line and came up Trump!

Most north west european countries are ok if you only speak english. Like, the line is roughly drawn from Belgium to west of Germany, Denmark is included and Finland as well. Everything south of it is unsure to me. France, Italy, Greece or Spain is hit or miss. The more touristy the area the more chance

 

Our captain is actually happy we tied because historically in 3rd division, if you go undefeated into the grand final, that's the game you lose lol.

Thanks for the info. I can speak conversational French if I practice...lol I've studied French and could probably get by okay, but not interested in living in France, to be honest. Not sure if it's wrongfully portrayed on American news outlets, but they seem to have a lot of problems right now, and I kind of want to find a corner of the world that isn't steeped in political drama.

The news rarely reports on what goes well. It all depends where exactly in France you would live and what you occupy yourself with. But which part of Europe has you guys interest at first?
