I didn't want to "like" that post, because it is so sad...but what a fine, long life that precious cat had. I'm so sorry for y'alls loss. You are a wise, wise man - "as long as she is happy, you are happy". lol
Many people don't realize how very loyal cats are, and how very often they are will always prefer one person, even though they tolerate others. I'm sure your lady will be sad, but she will wind up loving and helping many more - cats and dogs.

I'm fixing to start feeding a feral cat colony tomorrow. I'm both excited and sort of dreading it...I mean - that's more cats that I'll wind up giving a damn about - but they are feral, and are needed where they are.

 

Yeah definitely a one person cat. He would sit assertively between us on the couch. Like sorry am I competing with you? He was a nice cat though. We have other cats she will keep busy with them.
