Finally finished doing my taxes. $4500 return.... probably should have got on that a bit earlier...

 

I leave in a week to drive to the east coast with my 3.5 year old. I'm pretty excited but also really worried that it's going to be a nightmare, haha.

 

Yes, I have a feeling it will be a nightmare.

 

That would meet the legal definition of a nightmare...

 

awww.. i mean, i agree, i'd find it a nightmare probably.
but you're going to have an amazing trip and 3.5 is getting to the age where he'll have lasting memories and it'll be this fun blurry hazy memory for him in 20 years time. you might go on a road trip with him in your old age when he is in his 30s and you'll talk about this trip when he was 3 : )

i can see it now.

 

my first memories are around 2, I think, but they're so disconnected.
i know someone who says his first memories are age 4, which seems really late to me.

a 3.5 year old is easy peasy…...practically a person right there....a 3.5 year old can change a radio station....very handy on the highway....they can figure out food coming out of an a&w bag...also handy

 

actually kid would need to be in the front seat to change a radio station....dont do that

Does anybody go through those stages where you're just super thirsty? I finish like 1.5 1.25lt bottles of soda tonight and I still feel like I need more. And more. So I went got a bacon and egg roll from the food truck and now I'm even more thirsty.

 

Sometimes I'm not sure if my early memories are really memories or just mental pictures I've created in my head from family members telling me about things that happened
But the earliest memory that I know is my own memory was at age 3

 

Family members have told me that I used to call balloons "Marns" and I have no recollection of this. But apparently I continued this designation even after I had started forming memories.

 

I dont remember much under 5.
