Crumpets are good with honey or jam but I'm not really a breakfast eater anyway bit hard when you wake up at like 10pm.hehe. Maybe a peach and jelly cup to get me going it all depends really, on how I've slept and if I waken up in a mood or not.

 

Oh my, the later I wake up the better breakfast feels! Coffee with some bread... right away.
But I don't eat a lot during breakfast or lunch. I do need something though!

Fruit for breakfast seems nice, but not with my coffee.. and I definitely want coffee.

 

Sometimes I feel that bread hurts my tummy, so I try not to eat too much if I can help it. Though pretty much anything hurts my tummy so meh. I had 3 pieces of toast just earlier and I feel 10 pounds heavier already and I'm not looking forward to feeling bloated for the the rest of the day, it makes me not even want a drink.

 

Ideally, croissant/lil bread with something and black coffee. Fruit a bit after that.
Cereal is more for dinner, seems so wrong in the morning. Just like yogurt.
Bread over toast anytime.

I don't know how you guys make your toast, but it literally is bread hey.

 

Cereal is a night time munchie food, not a breakfast food

But I do eat yogurt and honey for breakfast just about every morning. With a banana

 

And I am confused about the bread. You guys just eat plain, cold (well, room temp) bread? Or with jam? Butter?

 

I just don't think of toast as normal everyday bread. I think Asmo might be the same.
Toast is really not that big here.

I always find the differences in how and what people eat very interesting.

 

Not me Mel, I would not eat plain, cold bread for breakfast. even if it had jam or something.

But that jam jar is cute..

 

A slice of that bread and juicy tomatoes and a lil salt - just that could be my meal and I'd be content.

 

Can't go wrong with a bacon egg roll from the food van. pretty much the only time I eat egg is in one of these. Gotta be cooked both sides but.

 

If anybody says the word "toast" that is the first thing that pops into my head...

I like bread with butter and just very lightly toasted, just enough to warm it and melt the butter

 

I regard cereal with milk as a breakfast food, just not for me. Yogurt and banana is great breakfast food imo. I am thinking of incorporating yogurt and oats in my breakfast.

There's also such a difference between breads. Like croissant and whole wheat sandwich to name just two examples. Lots of choice here.

But yeah, butter or margarine and then something like cheese, ham, jam or honey. Of course chocolate paste or 'hagelslag' is also common. Not for me anymore, but i grew up with that shit.

 

So whats everyone's favorite bread?

I love a good sourdough myself. And also rye. Or a rye sourdough, yum

 

I had a big muesli bun this morning. It also had raisins and nuts baked into it. I put butter inbetween and (this is just me ) one big slice of aged cow cheese

It fills like 3 slices of normal bread

 

I like variety myself. But most often i have slices of spelt or whole wheat. Rye and many others less often just to change it up

 

For toasting purposes my favorite bread is Italian bread. It gets so hard and crunchy with the ready hard crust but the spongey bread itself soaks in butter, jams and honey etc. Downside is it often cuts the inside of my mouth up lol.

Mostly I eat low carb wholegrain wraps over bread itself as I find them more comfortable on my tummy. If I am eating bread then I can like enjoy almost anything, but the more dark grainy the better IMO.

I also like rolls, like a Saigon roll or similar and I would 9/10 pick a salad roll option over a sandwich.

I do have a bread maker which I have baked my German rye, I just don't have a very good way to cut the loaf into slices for toasting or sandwich so I do not use it often, but now we are talking bread I might try to do it sometimes this weekend lol.
