Rollin, to make my jam with berry fruit, I add stevia.. where in normal jam it's usually 1 for 1 fruit and sugar weight, I cut by half the stevia and just boil for longer, easy way to test is to keep a plate in the fridge, every so often try dribbling a little jam on the plate, see how far it runs.. eventually it wont.. that works for any berry jam. Oh and figs.

saw this on tv ...if you put some duct tape on the back pf sandpaper it makes it last way way longer.....I tried it and it works crazy good....just coat the backside with tape
