If Downey jr can do it in a movie, I can go on the streets as Diana Ross during Halloween :)

I don't even see what she said that was so horrible. Maybe I'm just not finding her quotes in their entirety, but from what I've seen, all she said was that wearing blackface as part of a Halloween costume is unacceptable, but when she was a kid, it was okay to do. I'm not sure that's true, but I don't see how pointing that out makes her a racist.

We were already hypothesizing on what future episodes could be. East/West beef was one of them. Women in rap was another.

Of all music genres, I think hip hop marginalizes women the most. I don't see anything wrong with an episode focusing on their contributions since so many fans are unaware.

Woah... I didn't even give a review of it. If sci fi isn't your thing, I wouldn't recommend it.

It is surprising that they didn't mention them on a show about Hip Hop but now that you mention it, I do feel like Outkast's legacy has entered like a black hole of sorts. It's almost like the success of "Hey Ya" diminished their hip hop history or something.

I remember blazin and rollin down the streets to this one...

From what I gather, you're saying they would essentially do the token politically correct episode dedicated to women and isolate the women of hip hop or from the main storylines of the series, as if they are asides.

My thoughts are that women weren't a huge factor in hip hop before the millenium, I don't know what eras the documentary spans. That's not to say there weren't any good female rappers though, on top of Queen Latifah, I'd hope they mention Lauren Hill. I think she was kind of the one who launched female rappers as being capable lyricists. Also TLC and Salt n Pepa were pretty huge.

They had a Bay Area episode?

Did they mention Mac Dre? If not, obviously not produced by anyone who knows about Bay Area rap. If so, I'll definitely check it out.
