I don't really start to hate winter until after New Years. The cooler temperatures are and cozy weather are charming until January 2nd, after which I begin to go slightly stir crazy, become vitamin D deficient, and consistently contemplate moving south.

I use a blue spectrum light in the mornings. No idea if it actually does anything...

Hm, I've heard of light therapy, but it always seems like such an intense thing to do.

I was just talking about that today with a friend. If they ever legalize it here in fl I'd love to get the thc oil and vape it. And without the smell, you won't have to advertise to everyone what you're smoking.

Speaking of, I finally quit the cigarettes. I mean I'd only been doing it for about 3 years, but better to stop now than in 20 years. I got a vape and I've gone 24 hours without a cig, so I'm pretty happy. I'm already breathing easier, no rasping.

I used to sew...before clothing became cheaper to buy than to make. Anyway, I am not a perfectionist per se, BUT when I would sew...it would have to be Just. Exactly. Right.

I can remember it began to rip my nerves up. One thing I would still do...if The Mother hadn't hidden the sewing machine in her room which I call the "sea of madness"....it is so so easy to make curtains from sheets. lol The curtains you make (after you find the perfect sheet/s) are beautiful and easy peasy to make.

I do know that pants that would call for zippers in the front (back years ago) that would have a wide placket (like jeans, for instance) ... those patterns are designed by the devil, so if you by any chance have a pattern like that...burn the pattern and begin piecing the material together to make pillows. :) ;)

That blouse you made was beautiful!!! Did you like it when you wore it? I know there were several dresses and even a few suits (skirts and blazers) I made that I was so proud of and wore for years. When I got married at the justice of the peace, I wore a suit I made. (y) That was a really wonderful time for me. Anyway, wearing clothes you have made is always special.

It snowed here, but not much...just enough to stop me from driving anywhere until it all melts. lol

Its important for one to recognize their limitations, and I have no problem admitting with quickness that I cannot drive if there is snow anywhere but on a bank of dirt where it hasn't melted yet. :)

I hem things occasionally...l just use a needle and thread. :) I also patch holes in old shirts and such (just so they don't tear more) using the same tools. :D Holes in pants are ok...as long as my butt isn't completely hanging out.

had to bring my boarder down to bikers house tonight so biker could cut off a cheap dollat store ring the boarder had tried on...lol his fingr swelled right up.....we ended up using my idea of first making the ring into an oval shape by squeezing it in the vice....then bike slid a sparkplug gapper under the ring and used bolt cutters to snap it off

use dental floss to get a ring off. wax kind, tighten it around the finger like cutting off circulation and spin ring off.

dont get a ring stuck again. floss isnt easy to come by i only have the picks here.

I bought all my gifts for this year and yet I keep seeing listicles on Facebook about all the cool gadgets on Amazon that are perfect for gifts. I started seeing them immediately after I posted a status about how I'm done buying gifts. Anyone who tells me Facebook doesn't stalk what you do so they can tempt you with crap is in denial lol

20181210_001834.jpg We don't have fireplaces really in the south, but it's under 70 degrees tonight so I played a video of a fireplace on my tablet so I can pretend I live in a state with real seasons.

Edit..idk why it's sideways. It isn't like that in my gallery. Whatever.

My little car actually handles really well in the snow, but it absolutely sucks on ice. I had to come home early the other night after sliding through 3 or 4 stop signs/red lights.

I spent like $1600 on my snow tires for the Jeep, so it handles much better lol.
