Skateboards are so complicated

I thought it was a piece of wood with wheels guess not.

I picked a boy off the Salvation Army tree for Christmas and he wanted one. I thought well I need to go to a skate shop not like Walmart he needs street cred. I did and had no idea what to ask for. Guy did his best to guide me but I know I was making the wrong choices.

The wheels have different width, the art on the board, the tape etc. Hope you like it kid it was not cheap.

 

The city does the sidewalks at like 7am, I just put salt down on mine lol

 

My parents did that kind of thing this year. Bought for a family of four that can't afford gifts this year. They have the money, so why not.

 

Got my brother a Swiss Army knife for Christmas. I use mine constantly so I figured it's a decent gift. Hopefully he actually uses it.

 

That's what I figure. Christmas is a special time for kids. I don't want them disappointed.

 

I could have helped...ive bought a few thousand dollars worth of skateboards in my day.....always well over a hundred to leave the store

One of the high schools around here are putting out pleas to "adopt" a kid for Christmas. They say the amount to spend on each kid is $50 - $75.

I'm sorry. I can't. I don't spend that much on my own kids or grandkids.

ive to do the entire walk or nobody will. and the driveway. get out there when its snowing hard, move it off before it get heavy . thats how I do it. zooming..

I had roller blades. Seriously what twit thought that would be a good idea lol. Yeah let's strap 8 wheels to your feet what could possibly go wrong?

 

I hated traditional skates. once roller blades come out those were way better to control. I could always ice skate better than roller too.. but now Ill just avoid anyway of breaking an arm or some shit..

 

I can skate, I could never stop. I preferred ice skating because I would just fall over to stop. Roller blades I had to find some grass to run up on.

Yeah, I tried.. I stuck with horses. What twit came up with that idea? Ride a wild animal, what could possibly go wrong?

glen uses a French press for his coffee....my sister uses one....I have one I use for a spare way to make it....I dont like to wait after the boil so I use an espresso stovetop method.....I do not love cpoffee made filter drip style
