Stoned Festivus For The Rest of Us

About a week ago I got really fucked up in a classy little place.

When we left I was looking for something to eat and saw a food stall about 50m down the street. As we got closer, I said "Let's go get something to eat". My friend goes "Yeah, where?". I point at the cart and say "Let's see what they have". She goes "What are you talking about?". Again, I say "That place right in front of us!". The next thing I know I'm about 5 steps ahead of her and she's squatted down (Chinese people are really good at squatting...) with her head in her hands. I thought she was going to puke, but she started laughing really hard. At that point, I thought "What the fuck is going on here?" She raises herself up in a springy motion, hugs me, and says "That's garbage guy riding bicycle, idiot!"

There are tons of street food stalls attached to bicycles that people just park on the street, so I thought it was one of them... But no.

 

Basement door is "sort of done"... Attached and closes, anyways. I guess that's what doors are supposed to do.

It was Chicagoland.
Just commentating on one of our more popular series races. We get about atm a full grid of 40+ drivers attempting the race. It's messy, there's always big wrecks and then once the field does down its not top bad though this race is at phoenix and it's a problem track so could be a long afternoon.

 

Powderfinger (song) - Wikipedia there is some mixed meaning to the song, where ill admit i was wrong.. I was guessing. / but it could stand meaning for a vietnam family defending its land as the uboat approached - only given them english names. the song is well after the vietnam conflict tho. there are other Canadian/native conflicts where the song could be about those entanglements with authorities.

 

I thought it took place deep down south pre Vietnam and went with his ''southern man'' genre of songs

 

white boat with numbers on its sides? sounds like a coast guard craft here. not much white bows on boats.
I always thought it was WAR BOAT coming up the river// ..

 

He wrote it for Skynyrd, but they didn't want it. It's definitely a deep south setting... "White Boat" is likely a police boat of some sort, or Coast Guard.

 

10pm, and kitchen troll is creeping me on power to the stove. I will not be wearing any orange tomorrow, with a big fur coat i will be out there with. I will..

 

Alrighty then... right knee's fucked. I can hardly walk.

 

thankfully my knees are the only thing holding me up..

 

I had arthroscope surgery on my left knee when I was 16. It bend the wrong way and also twisted when I was playing touch football from memory. I walked on it for about 2 months before I said I needed help, the cartilage had torn and the fragments were just floating about. I didn't even get a day off school. Then I was all limpy. Healed good though I really notice it unless I have my leg straight for a long time.

 

nothing was cooler than going to school in a cast.....broke y nose and had a T cast taped across my face....I was the coolest kid for like 2 weeks.....several wrist and hand breaks....many stitches.....ya as a kid I totally liked going to school with bandages
