Yeah the more I think about this the less I like slang, haha. Maybe only if it appropriates real words and degrades their meaning.
You are totally dope enough to say dope, btw. And see, dope doesn't lose any meaning in its other uses.. Same with "cool".

But no one take this too seriously please. I'm just giving my point of view, not trying to convince anyone or imply others should change their usage : )

 

I used to say "Sick!" a lot instead of awesome. For some reason I don't anymore but I still say Far Out a bunch. I am the only person I currently know that uses that anymore.

I do tend to use "man" alot. It's in my spoken words naturally but in type it always looks weird to me. But I try and type exactly as I talk so I don't take it out.

 

We're not all wordsmiths here and I was thinking, I use relatively limited vocabulary in speaking as opposed to writing/typing.

I think audience matters as well. I cannot imagine saying awe inspiring under any circumstance in casual conversation without coming across as pretentious. I think it's something women can convey better without similar judgements.

 

Malmsteen is a tool... and not a very useful one at that.

before I got to the post about Yngwie Malmsteen I was going to ask about Yngwie Malmsteen to all you people and now I have my answer I actually saw Yngwie Malmsteen at Massey Hall in Toronto and could not keep my eyes open I....the show was so not exciting

 

I have also seen Clapton a bunch of times and all the Crosby Stills and Nash and Young guys several times and all the big bands that are classic rock several times but my bestest most favourite was Jeff Beck at the O'Keefe Center in Toronto the blow-by-blow tour with Ian hammer

I only saw Malmsteen when he was with Alcatrazz. Beginning of the show something malfunctioned with his guitar. Instead of handing it to his tech and getting the replacement the tech was holding for him, Malmsteen punches the guy in the face and tosses his guitar somewhere off stage. So, broken guitar, broken nose and no lead guitar player for the night.

Fuck that guy.

 

How sweet. Tonez bought me a Xmas present. A mjolnir ring, Thor's hammer with AUJA runes, meaning a gift of luck and fortune.

I wouldn't wear it but it's sweet gesture.

 

My uncle told me that Jeff Beck was the best guitarist live that he has seen as well.
