Contrary to what you sexually insecure guys think, makeup isn't just used for looking "good" its used to change your appearance. Whether that be to make you look good, evil, creepy, dead, its all still makeup.

I get that they say that's the meaning, but do you honestly think that they all wear it for the symbolism? If you do, then you're a bit naive. Metal bands care about their appearance just as much as anyone else. I don't want to hear superficial bullshit about them doing it for the symbolism.
