How was what I said wrong? Just talking about the use of words. The original use of "gay" was to mean something good, and now it is used to convey the opposite when used like "That is so gay." I'm not understanding how you drew something so wrong out of what I said..

lame -
1. lacking the ability to walk
2. bad; stupid; boring; bland

that's why

they both started out as words with completely different meaning from their slang terms
and you used the slang term of lame, in your definition for the slang term of gay
right after posting about the slang term of gay being bad

 

Oh, that's kinda funny. I didn't realize lame had such a different original meaning. OK, so my example would have been better if I had used another word instead of lame, but it doesn't make my entire point invalid.
