I suppose we will have to agree to disagree.

We all have different experiences in our lives, which is why we have the knowledge and experience that we do.

Granted, I haven't been homeless, but as a social worker, I work with people who come from all sorts of backgrounds, which include homeless people in shelters right through to battered women who find themselves homeless and trying to find a place to live for her and her children.

Life isn't easy, and I'll admit that what I have may be more than what most other people do, but I too can speak from experience that ~ even if it may be a stretch ~ in my experience one doesn't always have to resort to stealing or breaking the law to survive.

    Again, that's just an opinion.

Although it is dated, it gets the mind going in the right direction. So even though the techniques don't work anymore, the ideas still do.

    Yes...and no.

As far as books in general go its fair, and a bit if a borring read, mainly because a lot of it is dated, however it is a good example of the culture at the time and for those of us who are trouble makers it gets us thinking in new directions.

I wouldn't be so quick to jump out and say the book is 90% irrelavent today. There is A LOT of stuff in that book that can still work now. A lot of the addresses and shit are out of date.

Not to start a bash, but how many of the people who say the book is irrelavent have actually read it cover to cover, or own it?

I'm not saying the book is still 100%, but it's a lot more than 20% or 10%.

    Just my .02

I know of another roject, 'Steal Amerika' that is trying to creat a new version of STB. However unlike the wiki articles are submitted to an editor.

I know it was online for a while, but is offline for site redesign.

'Steal this Book' has lots of good ideas for surviving in Babylon. I'd love to see an update. I wish Abby he was still around. We needed him these past 8 years. RIP Abby

    Lolz.
I'm actually reading this online right now.
It sounds a lot like a dine and dash for the first bit.
