norcaligreenfiend, you need to chill out man. no need for hostility. i post this because if i can save even one person from making the mistake that me or many of my friends have made i feel like ive done something good. there is absolutely NOTHING hip about being a junkie my friend. whats hip is being intelligent. im clean, dont tell me i have no willpower.

its just a very difficult thing to overcome. and while i may have gotten out early, once your 10+ years deep id like to see how easily you can utilize your will power.

hey guess what? im clean too. Ya know why? because i understand the danger of opiates, and use them sparingly. My point was that the first two threads I saw here of yours were almost exactly the same, warning people from the dangerous and evil pain killers. its seems to me that you arent a regular drug user, but a recovering addict, trying to get others to "clean-up". And if that is your goal, then piss off because your wasting your time. even your user name sounds like a cop made it up.

Hey, I don't know why everyone is freaking out on StonedSober, but he didn't do anything.

He's trying to help us by getting us to realize that our life is basically headed nowhere if we stick to the opiates. All of us know it, but sometimes it takes someone else to say it before it REALLY sinks in.

I have no problem with the OP, I just think it could have been written better.

You people need to calm the fuck down. Why would you be defending opiates if you weren't addicted?

Wow, you really are an idiot Shocbomb. You're really 30 years old? I would have thought you were 15.

Nobody is debating the fact that opiates are physically and psychologically addicting. That's proven, it can't be questioned. But the way you're talking makes it seems like its the drugs fault and not the result of an individuals weak will and bad decision making. The only way that you can become dependent is if YOU voluntarily continue to put the drug into your system.

I mean, it really seems like you are saying that opiate addicts are just as strong as non-drug addicts. That's what you're saying. It's very clear to me that this attitude you have is just a way of making yourself feel better over your inner weakness and lack of self control. Take responsibility for yourself man.

It's simple, opiates are a beautiful thing when used under control and responsibly. Because they are so addicting, the only type of people that can do this are strong willed people. And there are millions of people who use opiates recreationally and are not addicted and waking up with severe withdrawals. Don't think so? Then you're either ignorant or lying to yourself to make yourself feel better.

Weak people, like yourself, will let it take control of them. These are the people who need to cut it out of their life completely. You have 3 choices: Either learn moderation, quit completely, or continue to go through withdrawal and hell.

The thread title does not meet the forum guidelines.
    Too much name calling.

Feel free to start a more civil version of this thread, but name it appropriately.

At least now you'll be able to do as the thread title suggests:

You can 'read this' & staw away, all at the same time!
