I rode a ram as a kid. The ones we had didnt have big horns but they had lots of strength and hard heads. We liked to run past them as a kid and every once in a while you ran out of luck Only pic I could find: I rather walk near a goat ram I can assure you
marriage as an institution is sexist and a transparent attempt to maintain the status quo by consolidating the middle classes and keeping all the wealth where it is.its a legal contract cynically disguised as an expression of love. the issue of legalising gay marriage is therefore, in my view, a shame. everyone should have a right to marriage equality but not by legalising a different sort of marriage, rather by de-legalising (not a word) existing marriage. love should not have to be recognised by the state in order to be seen as valid. (having said that, since this is really a pipe dream, giving homosexuals the right to marry is right, in the interests of equality, but doesn't go far enough, but i'll settle for that, for the time being, at least) the current model of democracy is based far too much on affect and manipulation. it is too hypocritical to function fairly. pro-choice. full stop. i support animal testing in relation to medicine, where it has the potential to alleviate extreme human suffering or death. capitalism is inherently exploitative and wrong. but is too ingrained in public consciousness to be replaced at this stage, the best we can hope for is a move towards socialism. although i am an atheist and an anti-theist, proselytising militant atheism is, in my opinion, every bit as irritating and dangerous as religion. moreover, atheism should be about learning, asking questions, understanding the reasons behind the choices that we make, coming to terms with our limitations and lack of knowledge and being an individual. it should NOT be simply a reactionary movement, rallying under an "atheist" banner and brainlessly regurgitating the words of charismatic individuals like Hitchens and Dawkins (although i admire the work of both these men, and agree on many issues.) Marx was pretty much right (although im sure you've guessed where i fall on Marx based on the previous points lol) racism, homophobia, sexism and prejudice of this sort all arise out of our subconscious. they will never completely go away and must therefore be combated constantly to ensure equality, but also understood. very one has the potential to be a murderer or rapist. demonising those who do these things is reductive. they should be understood in order to prevent future occurences rather than merely being labelled "evil" or "inhuman" and forgotten about. the terrible thing is that they are very, very human. ghosts and the paranormal don't exist. nor do intelligent aliens visiting earth. NWO conspiracy theories are just the same old neo-nazi anti semitic crap we should have gotten over and started to recognise after Hitler spouted it. behind every major figure in conspiracy theories are links to extreme right-wing organisations. its just the protocols of the elders of zion but replace "jews" with "NWO" "giant shape-shifting lizards" the illuminati" etc.
here are a few of my opinions which would be unpopular with the UK Government: abolish private schools, as they are socially divisive renationalise the rail system, and make it affordable for people to use legislate for proper food health labelling, and ban trans fats promote green ethics in terms of consumption, not just recycling phase out nuclear power and use its' massive subsidies to invest in renewable energies use diplomacy instead of the military as a foreign policy tool stop exporting arms to dictatorships, even if they are "friendly"
The current criminal justice system is primitive and archaic, is simply a means of maintaining the status quo, and will be viewed in a thousand years as fondly as slavery. 90% of criminals can be rehabilitated fairly easily and inequality is the reason for most crime.
I agree a thousand times over. The justice system which we in the Anglosphere adhere to does a horrible job. Compare it to Scandinavian countries, where almost no one commits a crime once more.
Sex should be on tv for everyone to see everyone I know was watching porn as a kid so why not just let everyone enjoy it
It is in certain countries. Although it depends on how you define "porn." For example, here in Canada you can see complete full-frontal nudity on daytime TV (as long as it isn't in a sexual context) and many Americans would consider that pornographic. Here in Quebec, you can show softcore sex on TV, and many conservative Canadians would find it pornographic.
-newborns are not cute -elderly and mentally handicapped people are scary -i'm better at sexing then anyone, ever
It shouldn't be socially unacceptable to fart and pick you nose in public. I shouldn't have to be ashamed to let one rip, and I shouldn't have to be ashamed to dig something out of my nose that won't come out from blowing it.. it's not like I'm gonna fucking eat it
The problem here is, many fundamentalist christians believe that gay people choose to be gay. So therefore, they believe that God didn't create them as gay, it's that they simply chose to be gay. Which I think is a nonsense, but you know what some of these people are like...
