God probably doesn't exist and if he does he obviously hates people. Free will is a logical contradiction. College is for suckers in most cases. The brain consists of evolved mechanisms designed for life as a hunter gatherer. Astrology is bogus. Shamans are bogus. Modern medical science is awesome. There is no hope for the human race.

 

Science is a tool, not an understanding. Truth should not be something that changes. Scientists were wrong before and they will be again which means that current theories will be the butt of the joke for future man. No one truly knows what the shit is going on.

The drive for success is centered on delusion, pride, and selfishness. Only those that want success are the ones that hold onto the will to power. True success follows as a consequence of not thinking of it.

College does not make people more intelligent nor correct.

Large cities act as leeches of the world. Sapping all the rich resources selfishly for oneself; engorging the self until full from the blood of others. Until eventually, the leech falls off after it has grown in size, falling back to the ground.

Everyone is mostly wrong and the only true thing is that we create our own experiences.

Women that pluck their eyebrows and pencil it in look ridiculous. Please, for the love of Anu, stop doing it. Also, makeup is unnatural and women should go back to wearing none. Washing the face, eating right, and living well should be enough for your beauty to radiate.

Fear limits our ability to express love. Most choose fear over love.

 

I think burying the dead is sick.
We shouldn't be holding on to ancient traditions (church and chanting to a man in a white robe) then go off and make fun of cults for being 'crazy'.

-I feel no pity for anorexics, cutters, etc. Its not like someone's putting a gun to your head forcing you to do those destructive acts, if you really wanted to stop, you would stop.
- ALL DRUGS SHOULD BE LEGALIZED. The government has no right to tell me what i can or can't put in my body. If people are weak enough to get addicted, OD, etc. that's Darwinism in action.
- not being able to deal with your own mental issues to me is a sign of weakness.

 

Most of the unpopular opinions stated in this thread have been standard leftist/progressive/"liberal" beliefs. They may be unpopular in some context in the US, but not on this board I think.

 

Actually, to follow my last post, I think cults are a good idea. Anyone dumb enough to fall into a cult shouldn't be on this planet anyway. That includes all organized religions. They're just as much a cult as any other

 

I would be intimidated yes, but not really afraid no. I would not be afraid of being beat up just because they're black and I'm white. If anything I'd be afraid of being beat up if/because they are poor. It is very safe to say there are A LOT of poor black neighbourhoods. I would be just as afraid though walking through a poor white neighbourhood to be honest. Also I don't know what a rim shop is so if you read this post could you please explain. Thanks. Peace

P.S- Being shot doesn't cross my mind that often. I live in the capitol of Canada and although there are handguns here (98% owned by black gang members) it doesn't really cross my mind often. The only time I've ever actually seen an illegal handgun was when a mid 40 year old white homeless heroin dealer took it out of his jacket pocket and told me he would sell it to me for $50.

I hate it when people bitch and moan about how stupid everybody else is. Intelligence has many different dimensions, and everyone has something to contribute.

I think pessimists/cynics are lazy--they don't even have enough energy to work for (let alone imagine) an alternative way of doing things. Instead, they point fingers at everyone else, as if that's better.

I HATE health nuts. I think it's one of the most accepted forms of self-absorption, and considering we live in a capitalist society, that's saying a lot. I also hate people who love exercise...These people love to pant and sweat and eat nasty, BLAND food, and then they try and convert you to their cause by talking to you about how you could be healthier, even though you never asked....NEWSFLASH: I DON'T GIVE A SHIT!!!!! I already know I will most likely be dying early anyway due to a permanent medical condition, and I've ACCEPTED myself as a mortal. Please shut up and do the same.

I think sex is one of the most overrated things in our society. Sex is good, you enjoy it, and then MOVE ON with your life. Omg...a dick!!!! Omg, titties!!!!!! Seriously, NOT A BIG DEAL. People who think about it constantly (like those people who ONLY post in the "Love and Sex" forums) need to be chemically castrated. Repressed people aren't necessarily any healthier mentally, but at least they don't pose a threat. I've noticed that most nymphos seem to be rebelling against their "religious" or otherwise prudish parents, only they continue this adolescent rebellion their entire lives. In other words, they're highly reactionary. Oh, and I love how they label everybody who isn't obsessed with sex as "prudes." Yeah, because you're either a prude or a nympho....there is no in-between possible.

I think if you're going to criticize religion, you have to equally criticize political systems, since they've done just as much damage, if not more.

 

- I think people need to take responsibility for their own actions and stop relying on and blaming others for what they do.

- I think people need to accept that unpleasant circumstances are a part of life, stop bitching about it and fix it.

- I don't think people deserve help: you either fix your problems yourself or die.

- I think people who support collectivism over personal freedom are fucking retarded.

Many other unpopular opinions follow logically from these.

 

i (unpopularly) believe that:

abortion is murder;

the Dems will ruin America, the American Dream, and the American Way of Life;

Bleeding Heart folks should have to put their money where their mouths are, i.e. opening their homes to: (supposedly) reformed criminals, such as murderers/molesters/muggers; the "needy;" like that;

if McCain/Palin had won, at least we'd still be considered the most powerful country in the world, able to defend ourselves;

the poor have no "right" to expect help from others, and should be grateful for any help offered;

Muslims are the scourge of the earth, right now;

our country must become UNITED, again, with one language, one set of ethics which all observe, and one set of laws that all citizens can understand;

there IS a God, and He's absolutely awesome;

folks that accuse other peeps of being Racist, are, in fact, Racists ;

and that homosexuality is wrong.
