Not unpopular in christian society. Still depends on the details if its done in a responsible way or not. Which seems important on the long term I think this concept 6-eyed brings forth stands apart from predators and prey. It's our mind that has put us 'on top', or in a position to take 'control' of the environment around us and everything in it. Also a worthy nuance. Y'all know my stance: exploit our planet with great care. Head into space and exploit the shit out of lifeless objects Oh yeah, and toss our radioactive garbage into nature's incinerator: the sun.
I know English isn't your first language, but I think 65% of the times you use "nuance" isn't really quite the right word. Then again, sometimes it's an angle on the meaning that just isn't common use but a non English speaker learns, and is correct.
Yes. Exploit it in a sustainable manner. But in the long run, nature always has a way of healing itself. Take a look at many abandoned civilizations and the way nature has reclaimed them, such as Chernobyl Ukraine. After Mt. St. Helens eruption, miles of forest were wiped out and turned to a desert. Scientists didn’t think those forests would return for at least 300 years. But 40 years later, there are lots of flora and fauna returning, and there are lots of young trees tall enough to provide a little canopy to walk under.
I wrote this post out of my disdain for those who say they would gladly wipe out humanity to save Mother Earth.
I wouldn't wipe it out. I think human beings are one of the most spectacular things the universe has created. But I think we could take a large hit in numbers. And that thing you said about mother nature has a way of healing itself; I agree.
It's a balancing act, overpopulation has it's issues but we need as many people as possible when the Alien Invasion happens.
Less people is a great idea. But we don't have to wipe a bunch of them out in order to achieve that. That's a ridicilous idea.
I was getting overexcited with that last sentence, I admit I just mean: there's a lot out there in space to shamelessly exploit.. with no consequences for living beings
I may have liked the idea when you brought it up, but the obstacles to overcome seem insurmountable based on that video, at least in a timespan I can fathom.
Landfills are needlessly vilified. Hundreds of years from now, they'll be mined for material resources. We've got enough land on earth to contain the garbage we are accumulating for the next few thousand years. All those billions of tons of plastics that the video highlights, can be refined back to crude oil. Crude oil will be a lot scarcer in the future, and junk plastic from ancient times will be a valuable resource. Plus, all the organic waste that goes to landfills can be converted to electricity by burning the methane it creates.
Environmental Impacts of Geothermal Energy It's a good idea. It might be expensive, but when you consider the alternatives... Good idea!
Top of the food chain? With only my naturally occurring weapons...... fists, feet, elbows, knees, bite and head, fuck Going toe to toe with a crocodile..... I bet jaws can out swim me on my best day. I am no match for a lion. Pack of wolves, or hyenas....... I am Man chops. Then there’s the venomous bastards. top of the food chain? Joke of the year. “fighting” an unsuspecting animal with a gun isn’t the same.
When lions develop the technology to build their own projectile weapons, they too can make their way back to the top of the food chain
If we killed that lion and ate it. no problem. Lions outclass me and I’m not foolish enough to think otherwise.
you live in a wider universe then anyone tells you to pretend. yes, you have invisible friends too, and still you live in a wider universe then anyone tells you to pretend.
