which is my point Vlad -some don't know how to do it, and as a consequence lack the skills (and/or company) which allows home-made/DIY ability to create. Others, not as fit as you are cannot grow, peel, cook from scratch
Even Though I Have What You Call The "Capacity" To Cook Roast Dinners With Baked Potatoes I Choose Something More Appropriate For A Single Person........The Only Time I Cook "Big Time" Is For Xmas Dinner....... Cheers Glen.
= Sounds just like me Glen (and sometimes not even then - I remember having Beans on Toast one year, but that , is a story for another day) - lol
Not possessing a microwave oven, (and I won't have one !!!) I have to cook ALL my meals, (unless occasionally i have a take-away delivered), so I can have boiled, mashed, roasted or chipped potatoes, together with whatever other veg I have available and whatever meat I have in my fridge or freezer.
I think we’ve reached a point where “conscience” must be described, and agreed on. You have different sources for what conscience is. We must include the behaviours of animals, that was the point initially. “”We are unique in that we have the conscience “other animals” lack.”” Is what I disagree with. It is clear to me through experience that animals such as dogs, cats and certain species of fish do have social hierarchy, evidence can be found of other animals with this attribute. Conscience could be a part of that. Conscience must be a part of that. Not sure? I think; Animals must lack conscience because we exclude them from our behavioural umbrella. Is wrong. Mimicry, shows at least self awareness. Common throughout the animal world and is not exclusively intraspecific. (We described this as conditioning) Cats (large species) and dogs (feral & canis sp.) wait in turn for meals. They know they get swiped if they break the chain, is that reasoning? Or reasoning as we understand it. Dogs only take a short time to regain feral attributes. As would I. Survival instinct, your basic needs. What about symbiosis? That’s rational, reasoning, self awareness, awareness of others (as we understand it) It is very common throughout the animal world, shrimp and goby is the first that springs to mind. No matter...... Assume I’m happy! When I’m not I’ll say, Dude, I’m fucking angry! (Or) DUDE IM FUCKING ANGRY...........!!!!!!!
If a dog had a conscience they wouldn't snaffle a tasty morsel of the table in the 1st place. Being worried about the consequences and being worried about your actions are 2 entirely different things.
Bacon is disgusting. The grease, the smell... I don't understand how people find the smell of cooking bacon pleasant. It makes me nauseated. I'll eat it in like a BLT or something but only at restaurants. I am no longer bringing that funky disgusting filth into my house
I had an roommate from Senegal who was a Muslim. He didn’t mind that I cooked bacon. But he had your opinion whenever I cooked artichokes. It drove him crazy
Yes indeed. Make sure the bread for the BLT is toasted, throw on some mayonnaise or mustard and there you hav it!
I personally don't like mustard on anything. And with mayonaise I want dutch mayonaise, not american. Apparently theyre significantly different!
