Over half the population argues over the definition of stupid and who is the best example, making what is an unpopular opinion, paradoxically, a popular unpopular opinion that nobody can agree upon. Whenever the majority agrees with them, they insist popular opinion matters, and when they don't, they argue over the definition of stupid and who is the best example. Hence, the popular sentiment is that arguing decides the truth, which the majority of Americans are prepared to argue to the death or whenever the crows fly home, whichever comes first.
