So the last few days since I gave it a try to be barefoot at my apartment have gone great. I do have to wear shoes when I need to do work in person. However, today when I got home, the moment I got in I just instinctively removed my shoes and socks cause I felt they were too uncomfortable. One of my barefoot roomies was at the living room and saw me and told me my feet are getting used to being free and that every minute that I spend barefoot I become more like them. He insisted I should buy some flip flops so I can start showing my feet outside, but I do feet very shy about showing them in public places.
I remember years ago about being shy about wearing sandals, but my wife encouraged me and I gradually got comfortable showing my feet. I now go barefoot in public. You just have to have the courage to do it and you will grow accustom to it and you will wonder why you were ever shy to show your feet.
If you drive to work, try driving home barefoot at least once. It'll be another small step for you to be comfortable with your feet. You could always put your shoes and socks on when you get out of your car if you're still foot shy. Who knows, you might be comfortable enough to walk from the car barefoot. Good luck.
The more you go barefoot in public the easier it get just act normal like if you were wearing shoes and nobody will say anything about your bare feet. And if you do drive you should try driving barefoot it’s better then wearing shoes or flip flops .
If you want to get over your foot shyness of going barefoot in public have someone go with you to a public place or a store like Walmart and you both go barefoot and you will see that it’s not a big deal to be barefoot in public.
