I am wanting to join or create pagan and wiccan community in central alberta. In this modern time, I am finding it harder to find and meet spiritual people. I would like any advice for joining or starting a group. I would even be interested in a group that met by video chats, and did a yearly ritual or something of the sort.
I'd suggest in the strongest possible terms to seek out like-minded folk in person. Ceremony and ritual aren't a spectator sport; they're interactive; that's where the energy lies. I think you might find the "vibe" of video conferencing a very poor substitute.
I feel that though. I mean, I think I agree that the magic is mostly to be found in person. That said, though, online mediums like this are great for talking about magic, together, and forming a better understanding. But these days, we've gotta be resourceful. Anyway, I'd love to get a group together, so let me know!
