Anyway, all those strong female characters per trilogy (Leia in the classic, Padme in the prequel and Rey in the newest) are imo solid in performance, appearance and how useful they are to the story. But the one in Solo who was ment to add the same... did not. Yes, she was a looker. But an annoying addition storywise.

 

Seemed like she was more there as a plot device than anything else.

 

In a forced and overly obvious way. The other ones are much more uhm integral to the overall story. They complement it.

Adam Driver being a good actor is the main difference I think.

Nope, his character fucks up not only the scenes he's in but the whole story. I also bet Christensens acting has improved in the mean time. Not that I expect or crave him in 9, to be clear. It would be great though if Ren somehow got lost

 

Show me any scene in the sequels with Kylo worse than this acting and dialog. Even one that’s AS bad.
