I still hear the Terminator say: ich komme wieder! lol poor germans where it comes to the large part of international movie and tv history so far (in the Netherlands we grew up with subtitles, not dubbing in our own language)
I prefer subtitles actually. Cos you pick up a bit of the language and its annoying when their mouths dont match up with whats spoken Last subtitled movie I watched was Train to Busan, korean zombies on a train, was a damn good movie
sometimes closed caption subtitles are annoying. I watch them all the time at the gym because sometimes I can't understand a news anchor or something... they lag frequently, and then half the time they can't keep up with whoever is speaking and miss most of what has been said. That problem doesn't exist for scheduled television or movies I realize. Just thought I'd try to relate my experience to it.
Most people do i think. The mouth not matching what's said is slightly annoying (im mostly used to it in spaghetti westerns where i prefer english sound) but the voice over ofte n sucks, besides its just stupid to hear everything in your own language when you know its fake and subtitles do the trick at least as good!
