Sorted through my books recently and found my old collection of Star Trek paperbacks from the 70s. Going to start reading them again, it's been a really long time since I've read them. Actually forgot I even had them Would be neat to complete the collection too
So... Roddenberry is a folk hero - "Star Trek" is absolutely genius, and was well ahead of its time. I especially thought Next Generation was a bold maneuver, but every franchise or however they're called... all of them were brilliant. I haven't read any of those books, but two or three eons ago I read some Star Wars novels that I thought were absolutely fascinating. Star Trek is arguably more mature; or at least that's the impression that I had in my youth. Do they have Kirk and Spock?
They came out when Kirk and Spock were main characters, so yes. I have around a dozen different ones.
Actually after the failure of Star Trek: The Motion picture (1979) Roddenberry was removed from the decision making process in Star Trek II: the Wrath of Khan.(1982)
I grew up loving all the star trek series and films. There are lots of things that frustrate me when they are in difficult situations. Any how, I'd be deep inside Diana Troy

Wow. Best thing I've ever wrote as I'd never ever have seen this pic. Counselor Troy, Warp 9, engage.
