That was the doctors holodeck family in Voyager. Everything was all little house on the prairie, then he invited Tom and Be'lana to to dinner and Be'lana vomited all over the table, then had an orgasm just like the one in the film When Harry Met Sally, which subsequently traumatised the kids. That's why they went a bit off the rails.

Hahaa now that you mention it! Doctor also got some real kids on some planet in the delta quadrant! :D Which is of course impressive because he is a hologram himself.

No, they got to a planet in the delta quadrant where time elapsed much faster. Enterprise got stuck in the atmosphere/orbit (somewhere there :p) and beemed the holodoc down to the surface. So because time elapsed much faster down there he spend years there while only a couple of days went by on the Enterprise. In this time the civilisation on the planet surface went through some great social, cultural and technological developments causing the holodoc to marry and actually get physical kids.

The episode where J-LP passes out and lives a lifetime in another quantum reality, then dies and wakes up on the bridge surrounded by the top level command team of the enterprise, Wake up Jean-luc.?

We appear to be quantum leaping through star trek episodes and possibly timelines

So been watching DS9 over the last few months and just watched the finale. Turned out better overall than I remember, but one thing that just bugs the shit out of me, how/why the hell did Avery Brooks get the lead role and keep it for 7 years??
He SUCKS as an actor and was outclassed by every other regular cast member, except the cow who played that bejorin priestess. Without a doubt one of THE WORST actors I have ever had the displeasure of enduring.
I remembered why I lost interest after the first season when it was new.

guess he was the affirmative action hire......
they had the young, WASP captain
they had the elderly, European captain
they had the woman captain, so the black captain was obviously next on the list.
Guess the new show will have a Native American captain or did they tick that box with chakotay on Voyager?

Do you mean Kira, or Louise Feltcher who played Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest?

I agree Avery Brooks was terrible. They all were. Kira had a bit of a fan base, but personally I didn't like her or any of the Bajoran storylines.

The new series apparently will focus on a female lead role, in the first season anyway. She will be a Lt Cmmdr or something. Unless that idea has been binned.

I mean nurse ratchet, while Kira isn't exactly my cup o' tea, she certainly isn't a cow.

I can barely remember it now.

But the dude that was Scorpio in Dirty Harry was my favourite, But they barely used him in DS9

Should have been a Worf spin off from the start, not Avery Brooks

But it was too boring for me, too many stupid religious storylines

The only star trek series I haven't gone through and watch all eps again. Even put up with Bakulas overacting twice in Enterprise

Bakula was great, he nailed it.

Worf had a ridiculous haircut, in TNG anyway.
