Force fields can be activated in the hallways of the Enterprise .. Example when Data' took control of the ship. He turned on the force fields when moving about so the crew couldnt catch him..

So the new Star Trek is Star Trek trying to be Star Wars?

    I like Simon Pegg

Simon Pegg annoys me as Scotty in Star Trek

What about just getting a Scottish man in to play Scotty?

They could have Chris Doohan, son of James who plays his dad's role in Continues, but he is as bad at being Scottish as Simon Pegg is.

I said this wouldn't work. It worked OK but this time it's fuck off Simon Pegg, you need to be stripped of a rank mate

Pegg as Scotty was fine in the first new movie. Didn't bother me at all. Actually more the contrary. As i know him better of roles like in Shaun of the dead and that one where he plays a city cop in the countryside (both good comedy!) this was a pleasant suprise.

I had more problems with Cumberbatch as the bad guy in the second new Star trek movie. It's like whats Sherlock Holmes doing there. I disliked the bad guy in the first one as well. Too cliché man, it already starts with those tattoos...

    I don't see it.

I still have the latest one to look forward to. Even more outrageous: still have to see the newest Star wars movie as well!

    Simon Pegg
    Simon Pogg
    Simon Dogg
    Snoop Dogg

In just four moves Simon Pegg can become a better person

I don't mind Simon Pegg, I just don't like him playing Scotty because he's English

    James Doohan was Canadian

Basically, the only new Star Trek actor a la Abrahmsiverse that I like is Anton Yeltsin, no relation to Boris, and he ran himself over and killed himself in a freak selfie hit and run.

So I kind of regret not going to see Beyond in 3D when I had the chance, story might have been all of the place but it did look amazing. Can film's special effects get any better?

What the fuck was that scene where Spock played by Zachary Quinto opens a case with a photo of the old Trek NCC-1701-A crew?

Made no sense whatsoever, apart from oh look, I just found a picture of myself from a parallel universe, seeing as they are totally rebooting everything and more or less creating a whole new timeline.

I like the new Rorschach face alien Lara Croft woman, the stripey shebra. Barbara Zigzag

TNG when Worfs son Alexander is doing badly in school. Worf finds Alexander in the holodeck playing a Klingon action game. If the child is doing so badly in (human school) why cant they use the holodeck to hold class for Alexander?/ ...

The children do use some form of tablet for books in class.. But we hardly ever see the children outside certain episodes.

In case of power failure one needs a metal hull.

A force field hull introduces a single point failure system.

Also, the power that would be used for a force field hull can be used elsewhere.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it". What flaw does a force field hull address?

I don't recall this episode but it is probably because he's a Klingon teenager :p

I recall another episode where a human teenage boy (don't recall who or which kid it was) got into nasty puberty and had 2 klingon friends of the same age. If you think human teenagers are a drag.... :D
