Star Trek was way ahead of its time, both socially and morally. I have collected of few quotes from the shows that demonstrate how morality can sometimes be relative, or at least appear to be. I often share them with people:

"She was right. But at the wrong time."

-The City on the Edge of Forever,
    Stardate: 3134.0,
    Original Airdate: 6 Apr, 1967.

"The difference between generals and terrorists is only the difference between winners and losers. If you win you are called a general. If you loseā€¦"

    -The High Ground,
    Stardate: 43510.7
    Original Airdate: 29 Jan, 1990.

"Why do you resist? We only wish to raise quality of life for all species."

-The Best of Both Worlds, Part II,
    Stardate: 44001.4,
    Original Airdate: 24 Sep, 1990.

"Doctor, the sperm whale on Earth devours millions of cuttlefish as it roams the oceans. It is not evil. It is feeding."

    -Silicon Avatar,
    Stardate: 45122.3,
    Original Airdate: 14 Oct, 1991.

"Because it's been given a name by a member of my crew doesn't mean it's not a Borg. Because it's young doesn't mean that it's innocent. It is what it is."

    -I, Borg,
    Stardate: 45854.2,
    Original Airdate: 11 May, 1992.

    "He's also an arch-criminal."
"Only because he was written like that. I see him entirely differently, Captain, he is not a villain."

    -Ship in a Bottle,
    Stardate: 46424.1,
    Original Airdate: 25 Jan, 1993.
