I just started watching this movie. I've seen it many times. Based on the Stephen King short story 'The Body'. He writes better feel good fiction than horror. I love this movie. Illustrates a time we'll never see again.
A Few Years Ago Here I Nominated It As My Fave Movie Ever, If It Were Made Today All The Boys Would Have Spent The Entire Hike Stareing At Little Screens And Texting... Cheers Glen.
So true GLEN. That's why I love this movie so much. It illustrates relationships between friends before the world was digital.. The moments the guys have and the interaction is so special and fun. I hate that it's outdated but at the same time thay's why I love it. Friendships were different before they were on a screen.
And As You Walk, You No Doubt Discuss The Meaning Of Life, And Solve The Worlds Problems Aswell... Cheers Glen.
We do discuss the meaning of life. There isn't one. But happiness. Hopefully one day everyone will be happy without reservation or guilt.
I saw the movie but I also read the original Stephen King Anthology “Different Seasons” which included The Body (Stand by Me), Shawshank redemption, and Apt Pupil, oddly enough I never read “The Breathing Method” which was the fourth short-story Hotwater
True. But then again that will be the case 20 years from now. Somebody will say: "Do you remember that Facebook thing?" Or something like that.
as long as you're the one wearing the t-shirt with the target painted on it. i remember the song. something from back in the 50s. or in the 60s or 70s as a retro of the 50s and 40s. pretty sure i never saw a movie by that name. pretty sure this is the first i hear there even was one. personally i don't care much for drama of any kind, unless its about something i wouldn't likely myself encounter. my mom used to watch all the old movies in black and white on the late late late early show, or whatever it was then. so maybe if it was even older then that i might have 'seen' it. couldn't stand the damd things myself mostly though. i mean none of them really related hardley ever at all to anything that interested me.
This one and Breakfast club would be the two movies that top my Huh, I dont get whats so great about them list
i was surprised when i noticed the fat kid was the guy from sliders https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kENzbFWBew4"]My secret identity Season 1 ep1 part 1 - YouTube
Absolutely loved that movie and when I saw the title of this thread and went to click on it that movie came to mind, honestly it did. One movie I have never forgot. One I don't mind watching over and over even tho I rarely watch any movie a second time.
Which character between the boys do you think had the hardest life? They were all so sad in their own ways, different from each others.
