Well, I just don't know enough about them to comment. In reading about their humble beginnings, I've discovered that much of what they stood for as a group was in line with my thoughts on remuneration and things of that nature. Britannica talks about release of prisoners, and draft exemption; something I had never heard. I can totally understand outrage at seeing the gun toting behavior. But I'm not sure it's in the name of hatred. I would have to know more before I was ready to say that they're on the same level as, say, neo-nazis or white nationalists. The New Black Panther Party is a known and listed hate group. Knowing about injustices and working to improve things so that injustices don't occur is one thing but hate group tactics are whole other thing. What is a hate group? The SPLC defines a hate group as an organization that – based on its official statements or principles, the statements of its leaders, or its activities – has beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics. Hate Map There are 954 Hate Groups currently operating in the USA.
So there she is, twice saying that assault weapons do not belong on the streets, yet when she's confronted about a hate group campaigning for her while carrying assault weapons in the streets of Atlanta, she refuses to denounce that.
Ok. You got me... I thought they were trying to solve problems for African Americans. I think though that they are standing behind that candidate of their own accord. I don't think it changes her position on assault weapons (I hope not!) and I'm not sure why she's afraid to denounce any affiliation with them. Perhaps she doesn't know they are a hate group, or feels the nostalgia of the original Black Panther ethos of trying to get out from under. I feel like the reasoning for the strong message is to try and help align African-American voters in Georgia (it is in Georgia, right?) and to try and influence voter turnout. But again, it's not the right way to go about it. I don't agree with the "by any means necessary" part of the Malcom X philosophy that the Black Panthers have sort of latched onto. It's not very good for American politics.
Just like hiring the Hell's Angels to be your concert security. What could possibly go wrong? As for death threats, I' wager both have been getting them for years. Her for owing people, him for cheating people.
A Is this some huge movement in Georgia? Have these people been charged with anything? I googled this and it is the lead at the right wing sites Daily Caller, Breitbart and townhall and the WorldNetDaily Which kind of gives me an inclination of where this is coming from. I mean are you claiming this is a huge big deal that it is way more important than the actually voter suppression that has been going on? I mean what is your big worry here – are you afraid that she is going to use these guys to take over Georgia or imply they are in some type of racist dog whistle?
Slogan and Meme politics The thing is that we all know that many right wingers here and elsewhere are more interested in repeating slogan or grievous politics than in any in-depth discussions of the issues and policies. I mean there are right wingers on the forums who don’t even seem capable of writing a sentence let alone anything of substance sometime not even capable of that preferring to post videos and memes. Rather sad really. Other write proclamations of what they see as obvious facts and seem surprised and perturbed when they are criticised and such people often become huffy and belligerent when they find they have no rational reply to the many criticisms of their ideas because they have seemingly never given then much thought accepting them without question.
This is an Atlanta-thing. If you aren't here sure you have questions about who is who and what is what. You'd be too far behind to catch up at this point. There's no crash course for foreigners who are curious. The gubernatorial election is tomorrow. The voters will have their way. Read the headlines Wednesday.
Can you imagine how we'd be talking if a bunch of armed KKK kooks did this for Kemp? Of COURSE the Black Panthers are about race, they're quite proud of that. Their color shouldn't make their hate message any more palatable. And yet, it seems to do exactly that.
A What the fuck are you on about? LOL why would anyone be too far behind, again what are you going on about? Yes and so what, does that mean you can’t answer question? AGAIN Is this some huge movement in Georgia? Have these people been charged with anything? I mean are you claiming this is a huge big deal that it is way more important than they actually voter suppression going that has been going on? I mean what is your big worry here – are you afraid that she is going to use these guys to take over Georgia or imply they are in some type of racist dog whistle?
“Kemp was photographed with Stachowiak at a Wild Wings restaurant in Georgia, Kemp grinning broadly, flashing a thumbs up, while Stachowiak smirks with a Trump red, white and blue MAGA cap on his head. In September, Stachowiak, a multiple convicted felon, along with a group of White supremacists known as the Nationalist Liberty Union spewed racist slurs and threatened violence at an Abrams campaign event in Augusta, Ga. Stachowiak and his group brandished Kemp for Governor signs during their verbal assault upon the Abrams campaign. On several occasions Stachowiak has posted violent threats on social media calling for “patriots” to “shoot Black women and children on sight.”

Yeah, and I understand she has white kids in cages in the basement of a local pizza parlor, to be used by the Panthers as their sex slaves.
