Hello, time for another trivia of the day. Squirrels are left-handed or right-handed, just like humans. They always hold the pinecones with the same hand and eat them in the same direction. Here we have an artist's illustration of a right-handed squirrel: As you can see, it holds the cone in its right hand. Regards Gyro
Hello, I thought about it, but unfortunately I named the other thread 'Woodpeckers'. A more generic name would have started it. But then again, I don't know enough for a daily series . Regards Gyro
This is an indigenous British Red Squirrel - all but wiped out by their grey cousins nowadays except in a few remote places
My mother in law had flying squirrels behind her house. The first time I saw them I was totally wrecked sitting in her breezeway. It was dark out but enough light leaked out the door window and sidelights that I kept seeing these shadows swooping about the big old oak tree right outside. I couldn't decide if something was there or not. Then my wife to be informed me of the colony of flying squirrels that would appear at dusk each day. Cool.
well its not exactly a suirrel, and there's a better one but i couldn't find it, soooo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73ay1RRXICQ
Hello, flying squirrels? They look like they come in the dark of the night to rip off your head and drink your blood . Regards Gyro
