I always find amusing (in a severely twisted way) the fact that Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran and so on keep their cool so easily with the chinese stomping their boots all over their Uyghur muslim brothers. All for those sweet sweet Renminbi. Money really covers a multitude of sins

Never really been a basketball fan but this issue with the NBA and China makes me think that there might be an emerging market for another basketball league here in the US.

All anti-barefoot running research is paid for by the running shoe companies.

There was an article in our Sunday paper last year about some track coaches at area high schools having their runners practice barefoot if they want. The students who do it say it is much more comfortable and becomes easier as their soles toughen. Beats paying 150.00 to 200.00 for fucking shoes. Those companies are ripping everyone off!

I read that the idea of running as a high injury sport began when Nike started making running shoes. Although I think that was in the book "Born to Run", and I have heard Chris McDougall accused of bias, so it could be exaggerated.

Yeah, globalism is showing it's ugly side in a tangible way now.
