    evil turns on good
but evil always eventually turns on evil
be true to yourself and be a nice person

    for who knows
    god may exist
those who believe such observations are ridiculous
believe the world came to be from a bang from nothing
both views hold both much and little merit between them

or so says the pleasant agnostic.

There’s value in many religions/beliefs, I think. Agnosticism isn’t a bad position to take, at least it keeps you open to the possibilities.

Whether life is deja vu all over again, or a recurring nightmare, everywhere you go, there you are, and if you don't know where you are going, you are already there!

  16. From my favorite book:

    “He spoke about cognition.”
“Is that all you know? Don’t you remember anything?”
“I remember the verses he interpreted.”
    “Whose verses?”
    “I don’t know.”
    “Let me hear.”
    “Ahriman knows not
    The secret of God’s unity.
    Ask Asaf, he knows.
Can a sparrow swallow the mouthful of the Anka-bird?
Can a single jug take in
The waters of a great sea?’”
“Those are the verses of Ibn Arabi. They say that the perception of God’s wisdom is possible only for the chosen, only for a few.”
    “And what remains for us?”
“To comprehend what we can. If a sparrow cannot swallow the mouthful of the Anka-bird, it will still eat as much as it can. You cannot scoop up the whole sea with a jug, but whatever you scoop up is also the sea.”

we do not live in a zero sum universe. the possibilities are not two, but infinite, each unlike each other, and none more nor less probable.

    evil is a subjective perspective.
benefit and harm, do of course exist.
and without consideration there is only tyranny,
without logic there no way to avoid causing harm,
without honesty, there is only ignorance.

religious freedom, is not the false freedom to tell someone else what to pretend,
but when no one is telling you what to, nor harassing you, for refusing to pretend the same things they tell you to.

while observably we need more then this to exist,
there is no greater good, then to avoid causing harm.

A missionary priest is getting attacked by a hungry lion. The priest falls on his knees as the lion opens his mouth for a deadly bite and prays to his Maker in a last attempt to turn his fate: "Please God, let this lion be struck by good christian thought!"
The lion looks up to the sky for a brief moment thinking: God, please bless this dinner!

    :-D
