Avoid spiritual glutons. Your inner self healing is important, but healing and spoiling yourself with crystals, yoga, superfood, and your jibberish about being a consciously enlightened being help nothing on this planet but your ego. Your ego likes to trick you into believing you are a consciously enlightened being that is doing good for yourself, but glutony is glutony no matter whether you consume an idea or a product. A truly enlightened being is willing to sacrifice self healing and comfortability to keep their attention on bettering the world around them. You neo hippies are sadly mistaking your delusions of self healing for selfishness. Nothing gets me going more than a person who basks in their self awareness and calls their self conscious when truly they just want attention.
You don't really know any of us. -shrug- so I don't know who you think you're referring to but IMO, it's a little condescending to read this. It appears you are the one with a heightened ego? I kind of actually agree with what you're saying, but the approach was just wayyyyy off for me.
I think like, you know those people with a zillion crystals in their house? As if buying more crystals will bring more fortune. Type of deal?
You have a few good points there, but I would say that many people need to heal themselves before they feel fully strong enough to help anyone else.Admittedly there are many people out there, spiritually inclined or not,who work tirelessly to make other's lives safer and happier. Many others have just decided "I don't really give a shit",or are either wise suffering care fatigue or not sure exactly how to put their desire to be of help into social praxis. The activity such as practicing Buddhism,or considering which aspects of Buddhism may be of help to you, doesn't necessitate complete withdrawal from the real world and social justice. For example I know a Buddhist monk,a woman, who in the daytime teaches school.Such spiritual paths simply give us advice on how to lessen the communal mind-based though-system that is evidently under much stress and strain. We only have to look around us to see how people's deluded thought patterns are being manipulated, often leading to much unnecessary violence and suffering. Here in the UK the Buddhist notion of "Mindfulness" is being used with some success in the psychiatric system and our heavily stressed education system has started something similar which is for the children to take a minute or two out to simply breathe and reflect.Of course these are only pilot schemes. As for crystals, well some people may take that a bit too far. They are pretty though and do in fact generate subtle unique frequencies, thus their use in technology.
i would make one small correction to this, otherwise i would say 'bingo'. and that is that it doesn't really apply any more to one subculture then another. its not exclusive to "neo-hippies", furrys, science fiction techies, model railroaders, artists, engineers. its more pervasive throughout the entire dominant culture. i would also say it is especially dominant among the economic worshiping segment that hides its true identity, behind the apron strings of dominant religious beliefs, especially protestant christianity and the over the top fanatacism there of.
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.......................... talk about arrogant, self-serving, egotistical rambling bullshit. You, my friend, are the one full of themselves. Just the very nature of your post calls into question all the crap you are trying to convey...... what a joke. be careful you don't get too agitated......wouldn't want you to fall off of your little soapbox pedestal.
Some superfoods are really relative in regards to how super they are. Some are slightly more healthy than a kind of fruit (for example) in your own area but has to be transported over half the world in order to give people here a good feeling about themselves (while actually they would be more helpful to the environment when get their local variety of 'super'food). Not sure what is wrong with yoga (but to be honest I still have to try it myself some more before i can place a verdict on it )
" nothing gets me going more than a person who basks in their self awareness and calls their self conscious, when they're just seeking attention." Thanks for the example of what to look for.
I don't always start threads slamming crystals, yoga, super food and jibberish but when I do...it's to prove how enlightened I am.
