I heard that in Victorian times even weird stuff like crossdressing was used as a punishment of boys.But sex itself was very taboo.

Many parents would be horrified if someone else took their kids clothes off and touched their behinds by slapping.Its getting less acceptable for them to do it themselves, in *some* ways.

I suppose the *types* of acceptable physical punishment of kids are changing.

Maybe in 20 years time, spanking of wives/husbands will be replaced by standing in corners...?

lol, this was like the reverse when I was growing up. If I did something wrong and mum yelled at me, id get angry at her, so she'd let me hit her hand to feel better.

i got spanked on occasion as a child, but really i was very polite and quiet so it wasn't often.
i plan on just teaching my kids as much as possible as soon as possible so they know what is generally acceptable or appropriate. i definitely want my kids to be polite and honest. but kids are kids and will get out of line, and i will most likely spank my kids a bit, too. but im nott a mom so you never know

nah, it was completely harmless, and it was like reverse psychology in a way, i was angry at her, but didnt want to hit her hand, so id just forgive her.

 

i'm sure each individual is different. but it seems like a dangerous idea in general, teaching your kid that it's ok to hit an authority figure for disciplining you...
