I have no kids but as I mentioned I have niece whom I live with and babysit all the time. Believe it or not I do know the responsibilities of having a child. Thought my answer was subjective. I don't agree with spanking thats all. And believe it or not I really did not test my parents that much. I was a very quiet, slow paced, well behaved child.

 

If a kid does sthg really REALLY bad then hitting them in some ways is ok.

But generally this premeditated, even ritualised physical stuff, well "creepy" is a good word.eg involving nakedness and touching behinds etc.

Its amazing how people who were subjected to it as kids seem to be into it as adults.And do it to their kids.
I've heard that "spanking" has some sexual-psychological interrelation too.

Either way, yeah there is something a bit creepy about it.
You've only gotta look at some of the misfits its created.

 

I have no objection to how or what people do to raise their children as long as it's nothing violent or illegal. I just don't believe hitting a child in any form is a proper means of punishment. Those children who were hit or spanked may get the impression it's okay to hit other children when they don't agree with them. I would rather my children if I ever have any and my niece use their words and minds to resolve issues, not their hands.

its well known that hitler was spanked as a child. if you spank your kids, they could grow up to be just like him.

I heard he was into being beaten up and shit by his Mrs.

I've known a few girls who were into all that being slapped - and it supposedly stemming from their "strict upbringing"..( ex Catholic school girls etc)

Yea, I just did want I wanted... I think a lot of it was because my parents kept me so confined.

I do, only because he wouldn't receive the education at home he would out here.

He would like to go to school, that is his choice, I'm fine with doing that in Seattle.

I don't believe in spanking kiddos. I do think there are a minute amount of kids who only respond to that because they have some sort of sensory deprivation or severe attention disorder.

My goal is to create the most compasionate human beings ever. I just don't see how spanking them would help facilitate that.

 

I don't think giving a child a swat for running out in the road is beating your child. I do think it's a different story when it's imenent danger and your child is too small to understand words or picture cards.

 

That's the other thing. I get off on it when my husband smacks my ass, feels weird that something is used as parenting and foreplay.

I try not to spank out of anger, I have a problem with yelling A LOT... wich is probablly worse then spanking to be honest.
