Where some poor men havnt gone before Okay I know some of you will be thinking, has the Captain been on the rum. What I am referring to is space from your partner. Many guys need it at least once per week.In my view it strengthens the relationship and helps with the longevity. It also demonstrates that your partner cares for you allowing for some "Me" time. I did have a Klingon once and she didnt last long and she tried to suffocated me by controlling .To Klingy for my liking and quickly despatched to a penal colony .Never seen again Yay ! So the question is guys . Does your partner give the space you need and what or where is your escape ?
This thread really hits home. For business reasons my normal routine is half my time at home and half at a second residence away from home. Honestly for us the leaving and the seperation isn't difficult, and the reunions are great. We also take some solo vacations. We're both fairly independent people who love each other. It works for us!
My wife has become very dependent on me as she ages. She used to travel alone a couple times a month for her job for days at a time. After she retired she totally changed. I can't even get her to go take a golf cart ride around the neighborhood by herself or drive the car. She hasn't driven a car in two years. God forbid I leave the house and go anywhere without her. We've discussed it and she can't answer me why the change. Thankfully she accepts my dressing up which is pretty much my getaway mentally.
Most definitely. My spouse sends me away for the day every now and then. My escape is to the golf course or meeting up for sex. Usually both. At least once a month she tells me to go off and enjoy myself. Just promise to return safe. It sure makes a difference in my demeanor being able to get away from the daily needs I provide.

When the house is refurbished , I will be having a Studio/Man Cave where I can do some work/hobby in peace and enjoy my space
This is what have in mind for my Man Cave as I am a military Modeller and Wargamer . This should give me my space for which I need .I dont like being suffocated by women even though i do enjoy the company of women
