Sorry to hear that, it does seem quite common over there, but as Lithian said, it's an issue we put behind us ages ago. I've not been able to post here as much as I'd like to lately, as life rather got in the way, but I think it may be time we made an effort to kick-start this community again....

 

If we're basing it around a boat again, can we have the Great Eastern?

Yes a lot of the regular posters have gradually drifted away, it's a shame this place has been slowly dying again. I don't think it's been this bad in a couple of years. We need to get things moving again. Eep! Any ideas?

 

I'm disappointed the National Stoat Day party didn't get more attendance. The stoat-shaped biscuits were just lovely

 

I can't really post much at the moment :frown: Meh

 

Generally the way I've found has always worked in the past is if just a handful of people make an effort to post as much as they can, get lots of discussions going, do interesting community building posts, then you find old members returning as they see the place pick up and new ones get stuck in to what they see is a lively forum. Takes time a patience, but these things usually go in cycles. One thing we probably do need to do is to cut down the number of subforums and start again with something smaller and more compact. I'll ask Skip about doing this when I get some free time....

 

yeah, i don't get categorizing absolutely every post in a community this small.

 

Yes we should definitely crop some of the subforums, the group / calendar / gallery / spotlight stuff I never saw the point of anyway, and they've never been used. Polls should go too. I try to post every day, but it's hard to sustain interest when nobody really responds. Would be very good to see you posting more again Sal, this place has really missed your presence. We've been kept going by the Americians funnily enough. Heh
