Ninth Moon Black is a band my son started 10 years ago and their new album is on you-tube, so my son says. I haven't heard it yet , but I'm going to in a few. Hope it works.
Yeah---that's them. I listened to it. My son is not shown too much---he's the tallest guy with dark curly hair.
You must be proud---thats awesome!! I've always harbored a secret desire to be in a band, but I don't possess a musical bone in my body. So, I resort to singing in the shower and, with enough alcohol in my system, karaoke. So as someone who wishes they could pull that off, I say kudos to your son!!
The video seems very Norwegian to me. Like dark forests full of vikings. It's a common them in metal maybe that is what the band was going for.
It was mastered in Sweden by a guy named Lindburg who is a music producer and a member of Umea, which I have not heard. Couple of articles in papers around here and one band member was quoted as saying Cormac McCarthys book, The Road was in their collective mind.
They used to tour the states , but all the members except my son are different than when he started the band, and they haven't toured for years. This version played a show in Portland last night and tonight they will do an album release gig at the WOW hall in Eugene. I will be there or I will be square!
