This is one of my favourite songs, though I find it bittersweet to listen to. I love the guitar intro which is bold and fizzing with edginess, then the minor chords kick in and the sad lyrics make it into a sort of forlorn musing about lost love and years gone which won't come back. It's sort of a song to wallow in when you're feeling a bit blue. What songs move you the most? Say a few words about why as well if you like.
That's a nice song Alex, quite soulful. I've got their first two albums which I really like. This song moves me as well, a sad song about a young man who killed himself on a railway track, which the lead singer Kelly Jones heard about in the news. Welcome to the forums by the way.
This one will always remind me of my mother and how she loves to garden. "green plastic watering can..."
This is an insanely happy song which always makes me feel better. Jimmy is singing about universal love for everyone and I love the sentiment.
