Songs that make you cry.

The song "Happy Birthday to You..." when sung to has for the past few years brought me to tears.

 

Another poster said that he was a man and he doesn't cry. I'm not sure if that was tongue in cheek but I was brought up that way. I remember a lot of "stop crying or I'll give you something to cry about." So I rarely cry, or certainly I don't cry outwardly.

Music or films have never triggered tears in me.

That said there is music I listen to when I feel like crying

Most Johnny Cash songs give me chills or have some sort of effect on me, more so than pretty much any other artist.

For instance "When the man comes around" alwaus makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

as for crying/sad music. This is as close as it gets for me.

This always makes me cry.
It was played at my Brother in Laws funeral last year.

 

Only because my granddaughter sang it to me, with such fire I didnt know she had... blew me away! I love that child soooo much!
She teaches me all the time....
