Songs that make you cry

Usually songs that induce a really strong feeling of nostalgia make me cry. It doesn't necessarily have to be a sad song. Also songs sung with a lot of feeling make me cry, like Diana Ross' Home. She sings it with so much power and emotion that I can't help but cry when I hear it.

But WH,truly had, in my opinion, a voice that would make me cry or at least have a tear every now and then. She had a voice that will long outlive her, but because of quality and not circumstances surrounding her death....just like Michael Jackson. He had a couple of songs that would get to me. Like the one he sang for the rat, Ben, right? that just the way he sang it was heart-rending, or something. :sultan:

Kayleigh by Marilian. (I often find it hard to stop myself crying when expressing remorse).

But my number one crying song - brings out the tears every time - is Those Were The Days by Mary Hopkin. Especially the line, 'Was that lonely woman really me?'

 

I can't think of any songs, per se, but the Hallmark Commercials (which usually have music in the background) always make me tear up.
