Sometimes life can be a pile of poo and if we accidentally step on it, we can be stuck cleaning our shoes for a long time. But how do we bounce back? Do we continue our life just the way it is or try out something new? In the book, You Are Awesome by Neil Pasricha teaches us exactly how to keep moving forward and to give up. Give up? Yes, you heard me right. Sometimes we need to give up to move forward. Don’t believe me? Then you just need to read the book to find out. I’ve read it and I have to say; this book is worth more than the price it's going for because the structure of this book is base on Neil’s life story, experiences he picked up, and his mother’s teachings. Now that’s priceless. No matter what happens in life just remember you are awesome.

    That's not a winning attitude.

A study of Wall Street brokers concluded that, no matter what their espoused beliefs, their ethics went up and down with the stock market. Other studies showed that roughly 80% of all people who identify themselves as moral, apply their morality to others in a deliberate and thoughtful manner, but not to themselves. The exceptions to the rule tended to either come from extended families, or regularly donate their time in service to their community. Those who cultivated contentment and payed it forward, tended to thrive better in the long run and live up to their own standards.

This is the metaethics of nature herself, which can be transformed into abstract morality and be abused. Hitler honestly believe shoving Jews into oven was the right thing to do, because he was literally out of touch with his own humanity and moral center. Winning and losing are not the issues, because life is a gift sucker, and you either pay it forward or pay the price. All the televangelists and psychobabble in the world cannot change that reality we all share. Senior citizens will quite frequently donate to charity, knowing damned well it will extend their lives.

True, but you need to read the book and from there you can decide. Just my opinion.

A non-winning attitude is known as a "loser", and there are countless people out there calling each other losers.

  8. People with so-called "winning attitudes" are all too often easily frustrated and prone to mania.
