Here we used to think boomboxes come from America, Philips just made some to answer the local demand lol
But they actually had a part in the US market. That's fun and interesting to notice.

Pencil fighting. Pencil fighting - Wikipedia

We always played it while on the bus in middle school. The pencils from China were sought-after, because of their strength. Eventually people started cheating by replacing the graphite with steel.

I used to do a lot of creek walking back in the day. Burrs and stickers were bad too, which is why I wore rubber wader boots. I'll never forget the thrill of finding a waterfall with a plunge pool that was about 4 feet deep in a creek that was at most 8 inches deep most of the way.

I still like walking by creeks, but I also don't know what the appeal is, per se. The best is when you wade onto the muddy banks and squish the mud between your toes.

Creeks are the best, I grew up near a creek, my grandmother had one in her backyard, another relative that I spent summer days with playing with my cousins had one on her property. They're such an integral part of childhood, I feel sorry for people who didn't have creeks!

I still walk the one by my mom's house sometimes. And it is still really enjoyable

i remember when everything that was brand new, in its retail package from the store,
was just automatically had to be better,
then exactly the same thing, once it was no longer in the same box.

    LA Gear light-up basketball shoes

Those things were dope back in the day. All the cool kids had them.

I heard of a shoplifter who ran away from the cops one night wearing them. They found him because the lights of his shoes led the way .
