how is it that you can sign in anonymously to this forum, but when you go to the chat room, they know you're there?

chat is an addon..i dont think its part of the forum software

What idiot goes into a chat room as invisible and expects to engage in conversation? :unsure:

 

i used to wonder how you could log into a chat room, then log out of the site and still be live in the chat room. i don't know if that works on this one, but that worked on other ones because the chat host ap was just a completely seperate thing from the bb host, which wasn't obvious because of the transparency of linking from one to the other. like i said, i'm not really a rocket scientist about these things either.
