BUt it is the wrong word to communicate what he is trying to say. Imagine if anyone could use whatever word they picked because they liked it. Imagine Drive Faster was decided to be used in a place of Pull Over. So when the cops come up behind ya they say drive faster. Thus you increase speed and are eventually stopped after you got through a high speed chase. You cannot use whatever word you want if it doesn't fit. So no Mr. greenxxxx it is not just a word.

HAHAHA no KParker, voyeuristic isn't the word. Voyeuristic has to do with one getting sexual pleasure from looking at sex objects or acts. The word he seems to mean is exactly what wonderboy suggested. Masochism which basically is pleasure derived from pain. Sadism is often used in place of Masochism but typically has more of a sexual connotation from my experience.

well it'd only be voyeuristic if you were a sadist because your joy comes from watching others get hurt. Thus the basic part of pleasure comes from their pain thus you are a sadist. a voyeuristic sadist or masochist.

well you aren't receiving or suffering in place of something. You are getting pleasure from the pain they are both taking place. An example of vicarious is: When I head Jo's trip report it was so detailed that I felt every up and down I was vicariously dosed. Master the language it is your friend.

Well it is a big deal because if he continues to improperly use words other equally ignorant kids will start using the impror words and thus we have a chaos of language.
